UX/UI CASE STUDYWayfarer 10-Hour Design Challenge

intro
Overview
Wayfarer is a travel discovery platform designed for adventurers looking to explore new destinations worldwide. While it doesn’t sell trips, flights, or accommodations directly, it helps users research and plan their next journey based on their preferences. For this 10-hour design challenge, I created a landing page for Wayfarer’s website along with three mobile app screens, ensuring a seamless experience across both desktop and mobile.

design & Approach
My focus for this project was to create a visually engaging and intuitive experience that makes it easy for travelers to find inspiration for their next trip. Given Wayfarer’s target audience of frequent travelers aged 21-30, I prioritized:
- Minimalist, travel-focused UI – A clean, modern aesthetic that highlights destinations through high-quality imagery.
- Seamless navigation – Ensuring users can easily browse destinations and access essential information.
- Consistent branding – Aligning the desktop and mobile designs for a cohesive user experience.
- Clear CTAs – Encouraging sign-ups and engagement with a prominent newsletter signup and search functionality.

Deliverables
1. Desktop Landing Page
The homepage serves as the main entry point for users discovering Wayfarer. It includes:
- A navigation menu for seamless browsing
- A search function to explore destinations
- A visually appealing grid layout of featured destinations
- A newsletter sign-up call-to-action
- A footer with essential links and copyright information
2. Mobile App Screens (iOS/Android)
I designed three mobile screens to ensure an optimized on-the-go experience:
